Poker challenge slated in Anaconda Saturday
ANACONDA The second annual Texas Hold Em Charity Poker Challenge set for Saturday at Anacondas Legion Hall will benefit a trio of causes: Legion baseball, critically ill children and courthouse restoration.

Poker lexicon:
- RIVER - The last card dealt in a hand of stud or Hold'em.
- HIT - To make a hand or catch a card or cards that improves one's hand. "I hit a gut-shot draw on the river."
- FULL HOUSE - A hand consisting of 3-of-a-kind and a (different) pair.
- OPENERS - Cards in a hand that qualify a player to open the betting.
- READ - To determine whether an opponent has a good, medium or bad hand by observing his personal behavior. An inexact science.
- DRAW - [1] A class of poker games characterized by players being dealt 5 cards face-down and later having the opportunity to replace some of the original 5. "Draw poker" and "Five-card draw" are examples of usage. [2] In stud and Hold'em games, the set of cards that will be dealt later can be collectively called "the draw". [3] To discard some number of cards and have dealt an equal number of replacements.
