WPT Scheduled For 17 Shows
Mandalay Bay will be hosting Vince Van Patton and Mike Sexton this year, as well as the rest of the World Poker Tour crew, as it joins the WPT circuit for the hit shows fifth season. The Mandalay Bay Poker Championship in June will be shot to be shown on the WPT show.
Party Poker and Ultimate Bet, once honored partners with the WPT, are now being cut loose, after the launch of WPTonline.com changed the rules of the game somewhat. The season will run for 17 shows, 15 of which have already been announced.

Poker jargon:
- FLAT CALL - To call a bet. Emphasizes that the caller did not raise.
- OPEN - Make the first bet in a hand, especially in draw poker.
- IN - Still eligible to win the pot. "I'm in" is often spoken as one adds chips to the pot, calling.
- LOWBALL - Generic term for poker where the lowest hand wins.
- BELLY BUSTER - An inside straight draw. Same as GUTSHOT.
- BRODERICK CRAWFORD - In Hold'em, hole cards of 10-4. From the 1950s TV series "Highway Patrol", starring Broderick Crawford.
