Phil Ivey voted 2005 Bluff Magazine Poker Player of the Year
Bluff Magazine revealed in a press release this week that it’s readers have voted Phil Ivey as the 2005 Poker Player of the Year. Bluff Magazine’s Player of the Year is based on the accumulation of points in Bluff/ESPN Power Ranking for poker players.

- FLAT LIMIT - A variant of fixed limit where all bets are the same amount.
- MITES AND LICE - A hand consisting of two pair, threes over twos.
- POT - The total amount of money bet so far in a hand.
- OPENER - The player who opens the betting, especially in draw poker. A hand may have no openers, in which case it is PASSED OUT, i.e., new hands are dealt.
- FREE CARD - A card dealt after all players checked in a betting round.
- COLD CALL - Calling both a bet and raise at the same time, as opposed to calling a bet then later calling a raise made after the call.
