BATON ROUGE - The state Gaming Control Board balked at the video poker industry’s request that the board give up its approval power over new truck stop casinos.
CABAZON - Ken Crow won first place and $5,000 Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Desert’s Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament at Casino Morongo.
Tunica, Mississippi is hosting two separate poker events from the two biggest names in poker tournaments, the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker, in the very near future. Starting Thursday, January 19th, the Gold Strike World Poker Opens ten grand main event will begin, part of the World Poker Tour. The Gold Strike has been in full swing since January 9th, but poker enthusiasts were already in place by then, participating as early as January 5th in the Jack Binion World Series of Poker Circuit.
The Jack Binion event kicked off at the Grand Casino Tunica and will run through the 23rd, culminating in a ten grand event of its own with the no limit Texas Holdem show on January 24th…
