Spears and Federline Get Cozy at Dad’s Poker Party Launch
As reported by San Francisco Gate: “JAMIE SPEARS’ Palms Home Poker Host is a joint venture between Britney’s dad and Palms owners the MALOOF brothers.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline showed a united front as they helped the pop star’s dad launch his new computer program venture that helps wannabe poker promoters run their own card tournament at home.
Spears’ mum LYNN laughed off split reports and claims that Federline is spending his wife’s money on his partying lifestyle, insisting instead, “He’s very special, I’m very close to Kevin.”

Poker argot:
- STUCK - Down a nontrivial amount of money, as in "he's stuck $800".
- DOUBLE BELLY BUSTER - A two-way inside straight. E.g., 3-5-6-7-9.
- SEVENTH STREET - The seventh card dealt in 7-card stud.
- PAT HAND - In draw poker, a hand that does not need any more cards. Specifically, a straight, flush, full house or straight flush. One might bluff and represent a pat hand but actually hold something else.
- HIGH-LOW SPLIT - Forms of poker in which the pot is split between the best hand and best lowball hand.
- RACE - In tournaments it is sometimes convenient to remove all lower-denomination chips from play, as the remaining players' stacks tend to grow. Small chips are converted to larger chips and any odd chips are "raced off" in the following way: each player with odd chips places them in front of his stack and is dealt one card for each chip. Highest card (rank and suit) takes all the small chips and converts them to higher-denomination chips.
