Poker’s Card Sharks Aren’t Old Enough to Drive: Scott Soshnick
Turn on the television, even in the wee morning hours, and there’s a good chance you’ll come across either a “Law & Order'’ rerun or a group of guys playing poker. Poker is ubiquitous on the ESPN and Fox cable networks. Bravo and the Travel Channel broadcast poker programs, too.
The ratings are good. On ESPN, poker-related programming draws about three times the audience that used to tune in to the channel’s National Hockey League games.
What isn’t tracked or known is how many kids have become hooked on gambling on the Internet…

- CALLER - One who calls. Sometimes used collectively, as in "3 callers".
- DRAW - [1] A class of poker games characterized by players being dealt 5 cards face-down and later having the opportunity to replace some of the original 5. "Draw poker" and "Five-card draw" are examples of usage. [2] In stud and Hold'em games, the set of cards that will be dealt later can be collectively called "the draw". [3] To discard some number of cards and have dealt an equal number of replacements.
- FISH - A player who loses money. An old saying is "If you can't spot the fish at the table, *you* are the fish.".
