Harrah’s Establishes Player Advisory Council to Further Enrich World Series of Poker
Harrah’s Operating Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. said today that six top poker professionals have agreed to join a new Players Advisory Council that will consult with company executives on ways to enhance the experience at the World Series of Poker(R).
Among the players who have accepted inaugural one-year terms on the committee are former World Series of Poker Main Event champions Chris “Jesus” Ferguson and Scotty Nguyen. They will be joined by top professionals Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer, Daniel Negreanu and Robert Williamson III…

- CHASE - To continue in a hand, often at poor odds, in the hopes of catching a much better hand. "He called, chasing the flush.".
- TAPPED [OUT] - Out of money. Can refer to a player running out of money in the course of a hand, thus still active for the main pot; or can refer to a player who has lost his bankroll and can no longer play.
- HOLE CARDS - In Stud and Hold'em, the face-down cards dealt to each player.
- JOKER - A 53rd card in the deck, distinct from the others, used as a wild card or as a BUG.
- BUTTON CHARGE - A periodic fee paid by whoever is the button, perhaps every 20 minutes or 30 minutes. Constitutes part or all of the HOUSE CUT.
- POSSIBLE [STRAIGHT/FLUSH] - Up cards that quite possibly could lead to a straight and/or a flush.
