Poker Walk New Poker Run
In Cadillac, Michigan, there won’t be any running to collect poker cards at an upcoming charity event; nor will their be riding of motorcycles, driving of cars, piloting of boats or flying of planes. Poker jargon:
- RUSH - A winning streak. Also "ON A RUSH".
- STEAM - Playing wildly, calling and raising a lot, because one is upset. Compare: ON TILT.
- POCKET ROCKETS - In Hold'em, a pair of aces for hole cards.
- SUICIDE KING - King of Hearts. So named because in the drawing the king appears to be stabbing himself in the head.
- SPLIT [THE POT] - To split the pot between two or more players. Related term: QUARTER.
- ONE-EYED - The jack of hearts, jack of spades or king of diamonds. So named because the characters are drawn in profile, thus showing only one eye.
