2005 European Poker Awards Sponsored By Williamhillpoker
The 2005 European Poker Awards is being proudly sponsored by online poker web site Williamhillpoker. The Event will be held in the ACF Club in Paris January 8th of 2006, on a Sunday. European ranking prizes will be presented in the categories of Omaha, Stud poker and Texas HoldÂ’em poker, The overall ranking winner and runner up will also receive prizes.
The Rookie of the Year, the Tournament Performance of the Year, the Card Room Staff Person of the Year, and the Player of the Year will be announced at the Williamhillpoker.com European Poker Awards, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Poker jargon:
- ONE-EYED - The jack of hearts, jack of spades or king of diamonds. So named because the characters are drawn in profile, thus showing only one eye.
- FOLD - To decline to call a bet, thus dropping out of a hand.
- SET - In Hold'em, three of a kind where two of the cards are hole cards.
- DRAW OUT - To catch a card that improves your situation from a losing hand to a winning hand, especially when you beat someone holding a hand that usually figures to win.
- STUD - Any of several poker games in which some of each players' cards are exposed.
- STUCK - Down a nontrivial amount of money, as in "he's stuck $800".
