Navy man wins poker championship
A Navy man stationed in Honolulu has won $1 million in an on-line poker championship.
Ensign Santino Sgambelluri did not realize the championship round of the game would be played in the Bahamas until he got an e-mail message telling him he was one of the 10 finalists, the Honolulu Advertiser reported.
He took the last hand on Sunday with a pair of eights to emerge the grand champion in the “No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em” competition.
Sgambelluri said he has been playing poker for 10 years…
