MATTHEWS-BASED DUO BET ON ELECTRONIC CARD TABLE: Who needs poker dealer?
Lou White and James Crawford are countin’ their money while they’re sittin’ at the table.
Aiming to cash in on poker’s renewed popularity, two years ago the Charlotte duo created - in White’s basement - an electronic poker table. They say it saves casinos and players money. Their company, PokerTek Inc., now in an office center in Matthews, went public in October, raising about $22 million.
White and Crawford count on PokerTek to replace the world’s 6,600 dealer-manned tables…
