The World Poker Store Multiplies

In the Mall Of America, there is a retail poker store that shares a name with a leading online poker supplies provider, “The World Poker Store.” After a recent acquisition the online and brick and mortar companies will have more in common than their name. The World Poker Store, Inc, recently acquired 100% of the physical store company, which includes five retail locations.

  • SET - In Hold'em, three of a kind where two of the cards are hole cards.
  • MITES AND LICE - A hand consisting of two pair, threes over twos.
  • DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
  • TAPPED [OUT] - Out of money. Can refer to a player running out of money in the course of a hand, thus still active for the main pot; or can refer to a player who has lost his bankroll and can no longer play.
  • STAND OFF - To call a raise. "Opener raises, I stand off".
  • MANIAC - A player who bets, raises and reraises without regard to the quality of his hand. Most often found in flop games.
