Heartland Texas Holdem Tournament To Benefit Soldiers

Set in the nation’s heartland and upcoming Wichita, Kansas poker tournament will be helping American soldiers. Poker fundraisers seem to be the latest charity craze, and for good reason. People love to play poker, especially the game of No Limit Texas Hold’em, but often have a hard time finding a good game to play with out worrying about the legal situation.

Poker terminology:

  • OVERCALL - To call a bet after one or more players already called.
  • PASS - Opposite of bet. To check, if checked to. To fold, if bet to.
  • FLUSH - A poker hand consisting of five cards all one suit.
  • ALL-IN - To have all of one's chips in the pot. A player who is all-in cannot be forced out of the pot by more betting, but is only eligible to win that portion of the pot he has contributed to. Generally, a SIDE POT is created each time a player is all-in.
  • ROLLED UP - In seven-card stud, being dealt three of a kind in the first three cards.
  • DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
