Future unveils plans for World Poker Tour title
Future Publishing has finally revealed details of its widely rumoured plans for a new poker title to tap into the growing gambling market. World Poker Tour: The Official Magazine will be the first magazine sanctioned by the World Poker Tour brand, which has built a major following in recent months in the UK after securing a high profile slot on the newly launched ITV4 digital channel.

Poker lingo:
- AMERICAN AIRLINES - In Hold'em, a pair of Aces in the hole. Better known (at least in rec.gambling) as POCKET ROCKETS.
- STRAIGHT FLUSH - A hand consisting of 5 cards in sequence and the same suit.
- FACE CARD - A jack, queen or king (a card with a face on it, not joker).
- WORLD SERIES OF POKER - A series of several different poker games with relatively large buy-ins, culminating in a $10,000 buy-in no-limit Hold'em tournament, the winner of which is crowned the World Poker Champion. Sponsored by Binion's Horseshoe Club in Las Vegas.
- BAD GAME - Any game in which you figure to be the loser, because the other players are better than you.
- BOARD - The exposed cards in Hold'em and stud. Also BOARD CARDS.
