World Series of Poker victory changes winner’s life
Not much has changed for Aussie Joseph Hachem since he jockeyed his way through a field of 5,619 to win the 2005 World Series of Poker at Binion’s in July. Well, except for the fact he’s richer by $7.5 million - the top prize for winning poker’s most prestigious competition and the biggest tournament in the history of the game.

- DRAW OUT - To catch a card that improves your situation from a losing hand to a winning hand, especially when you beat someone holding a hand that usually figures to win.
- CAP - To cap the betting is to make the last permitted raise in a round.
- LAY ODDS - To give favorable odds to an opponent.
- OPEN-ENDED STRAIGHT - Four cards to a straight which can be completed by drawing a card at either end. E.g., 6-7-8-9 is an open-ended straight. Also: BOBTAIL STRAIGHT. Compare: INSIDE STRAIGHT.
- RAINBOW - In flop games, a flop in which no two cards are of the same suit. "The flop was A 9 7 rainbow."
