Poker Becomes A Team Sport
A few casinos have already launched the concept of poker leagues, and one online poker room has recently followed suit. Poker has always been a social game, but an individual sport in terms of who to root for and determining who wins and looses.
With the concept of team and league play coming to the fore, poker as a whole has been broadened to include the special attributes of working together as a group.

Poker slang:
- ON THE COME - A situation where the player does not have a complete hand but hopes to make one if the right cards come up.
- BOAT - A FULL HOUSE, three of a kind and a pair.
- IN - Still eligible to win the pot. "I'm in" is often spoken as one adds chips to the pot, calling.
- STEAM - Playing wildly, calling and raising a lot, because one is upset. Compare: ON TILT.
- SUITED - Two or more cards all the same suit. Ant: OFF-SUIT.
- STAKE - The amount of a player's BUY-IN, or the amount of money they are willing to play with in a given session. Compare: BANKROLL.
