Kasper says he’s not taking donations for Internet poker measure
BISMARCK, N.D. - A lawmaker who is exploring North Dakota licensing of Internet poker sites said he isn’t accepting contributions for a ballot initiative campaign, because he hasn’t decided whether he will lead one.

Poker dictionary:
- SPLIT [THE POT] - To split the pot between two or more players. Related term: QUARTER.
- BURN - To discard the top card of the deck prior to dealing, usually done for every dealing round except the first. The theory being that if somehow the cards are marked (illegally) no one will know what card will next be dealt, only what card will be burned. This makes marked cards less of an advantage, hence tends to reduce cheating.
- WIRED [PAIR] - A pair in the hole. In 5-card stud, a door card that pairs the hole card.
- IN - Still eligible to win the pot. "I'm in" is often spoken as one adds chips to the pot, calling.
- CUT - To break the deck into 2 stacks of at least 5 cards each. Usually performed by the player to the dealer's right to insure that the the deck is not stacked.
- STAKE - The amount of a player's BUY-IN, or the amount of money they are willing to play with in a given session. Compare: BANKROLL.
