One of the most remarkable things about the rebirth of the game of poker in the 21st century has to be the wealth of information that is out on the market right now. Whereas there used to be only a few select tomes that even approached teaching the game at the highest levels, now it seems that they simply fall from the sky.

Poker terminology:
- SHARK - A good/crafty player often posing as a fish early in the game.
- AMERICAN AIRLINES - In Hold'em, a pair of Aces in the hole. Better known (at least in rec.gambling) as POCKET ROCKETS.
- ONE-EYED - The jack of hearts, jack of spades or king of diamonds. So named because the characters are drawn in profile, thus showing only one eye.
- PASS - Opposite of bet. To check, if checked to. To fold, if bet to.
- BAD GAME - Any game in which you figure to be the loser, because the other players are better than you.
- LITTLE SLICK - In Hold'em, hole cards of A-2, suited or not.
