Perks and Picks: All-Star Gaming Expo, Railroad Pass adds Poker
A terrific line-up of gaming celebrities has been set for the “All-Star Gaming Expo” to be held on December 2 and 3 at Fiesta Rancho in Las Vegas. Leading gambling writers and experts will be offering their tips, strategies and advice to help you improve your casino game play.
A series of seminars will be presented both days with topics including an introduction to playing Texas Hold ‘em poker and playing in poker tournaments, blackjack strategies and tournament tips, craps for beginners and advanced craps, sports betting and handicapping and video poker instruction and tips, plus information on how to get the most out of slot clubs, comps, working with slot hosts and coupons.
The impressive line-up of guest speakers includes Steve Bourie, Jeffrey Compton, Anthony Curtis, Bob Dancer, Larry Edell, Steve Fezzik, Angel Largay, Viktor Nacht, Blair Rodman and Jean Scott.

Poker glossary:
- CUT - To break the deck into 2 stacks of at least 5 cards each. Usually performed by the player to the dealer's right to insure that the the deck is not stacked.
- LIVE [CARD] - In Stud, a card probably not held by other players.
- POSITION - One's location in the betting sequence, relative to the players still in the hand. First position is first to act.
- FLOP - [1] In Hold'em, the first three community cards, dealt simultaneously. [2] To deal a flop, or to make a hand on a flop. "I flopped trips".
- DOOR [CARD] - A player's first upcard in stud games.
- HIT - To make a hand or catch a card or cards that improves one's hand. "I hit a gut-shot draw on the river."
