Mike Matusow Wins the TOC
It was just four months ago that Mike “The Mouth” Matusow finished in ninth place at the main event of the World Series of Poker; even though that was the worst finish, he still bagged $1 million for his efforts. When he came into the WSOP Tournament of Champions, he claimed to be playing the best poker of his life; he then went on to prove it, winning the TOC and claiming his second $1 million prize of 2005.
“Mike Matusow has once again proven that he’s more than just “The Mouth”", said Howard Lederer who, along with Mike, is a Team Full Tilt member. “His play over the past year clearly shows that his game is as good as anyone’s and that he’s a threat in any tournament he enters”.
Mike beat out 113 other players including legends Hoyt Corkins and Phil Hellmuth, who took third and second in the TOC.
